Born in 1942 Beirut, Lebanon.
Education: Fine Arts in both Beirut & Madrid.
1964: Diploma in drawing and painting from the School of Fine Arts in Beirut.
1966: won a scholarship from the Ministry of National Education and Fine Arts led him to Madrid - Spain.
1970: Won the title of professor of drawing & painting from the upper Royal Academy of Fine Arts Central - San Fernandez, Madrid- Spain.
1980: Established his private atelier in Beirut.
- Worked in the field of education at Teachers College, and at College of Fine Arts, Beirut.
- Member in the Fine Artists Association since 1964.
- Served as the chairman of the Fine Arts Department at the Institute of Fine Arts - Lebanese University, for more than eighteen years.
At the age of eight he began to paint faces and people, not nature, because according to Johnny, Mankind is the best way to show the Humanitarian expression. The artists grew up in a poor enviroment which only provided him the strength to fight for a living.
In his atelier, Hassan opens a window on Beirut’s sea surrounded by thousands of faces that showered life into his spirit; converting them to more than two thousand paintings as an acronym of his artistic career.

Hasan Johnny doesn’t give the glory of his painting to merely one person; he divides it upon many heroes whom they are in a silent dialogue, and wearing their homes on them.
He has a special technique in which he masters the language of art that can express the feelings of people and access to the world of everyone; as oxygen without intrusion or difficulty. Sharing people their own realms of joy or sadness, reality and dreams, and simulates the thoughts of their hearts and eyes.
“In the march of age, I stand contemplating what I saw and I suffered and I apologize from the time I colluded with my disturbance to walk away from drawing. Art for me is to exercise, fatigue, suffer and to search for my humanity Beatitude.”
